Hello,

A customer reported me a strange problem which I can reproduce very easily :

Windows must have colors set to 16 bits.

1. I start a new project with Delphi 2007
2. Add a TNxGlyph
3. Set Glyph to a 32 bits BMP with alpha channel
4. Set the transparency to true

-> I get an error message already in design mode (but happens also during run-time) :

CODE
Access violation at address '...' in the module 'NxCommonRun.bpl'. Read of address ....

The Details of the error are the following :

CODE
[0C95D93F]{NxCommonRun.bpl} Nxshareddraw.SetColorValues32 + $7
[0C95C633]{NxCommonRun.bpl} Nxshareddraw.GetColor + $39F
[0C95C6F0]{NxCommonRun.bpl} Nxshareddraw.ApplyBitmap + $1C
[0CA910BE]{NxCollectionRun.bpl} Nxcollection.TNxGlyph.Paint + $96

During my tests, i sometimes did not have this bug when using small bitmaps (16x16 pixels), but I always get it with 64x64px bitmaps. If needed I can send some bitmaps I'm using.

We will release a new version of our software soon, and this bug must be corrected as soon as possible. Can you have a look at it quickly ? Thank you.

I'm using original Nx files, version 4.8.8.1

Here it is.

You can try to start the .exe with 32 bits colors : works fine. And with 16 bits : get an access violation.

I have this problem on both Win XP and Vista (if it can help).

Couldn't this also be graphics card/driver dependent? Just in case both you and customer have the same one, and Boki can't replicate it...

Hi Boki,

Do you have news about this problem ? I must solve it for today evening. If you can't help, I will have to change most of the TNxGlyph of my software into TImage sad.gif

Hello Bertrod,

I need one 16bit image (BMP) for you. 32bit images already work correctly.
