hi

1) headerpanel was set to be Vista. in design time it works ok. in run time, the header disappears
setting it back to normal - it works ok

2) when running the application after a successful compilation, i get a runtime error of "property version does not exists"
then i get "error reading nextdbgrid1.version property version does not exists" and the app doesnt run
the grid is there from previous release

please advice

This is probably some version conflict. Maybe some package is not well re-compiled.

Do you see Version property for NextGrid in design-time inside Object Inspector?

I will made for you one exe demo and send you to test Vista style. I hope that some user may confirm this problem.

the new release was compiled in D2007
(first time, no old versions here)
i see version property in design time and in dfm file for the grid
everything is working perfect
except for the grid, which i get this error

Hello Emailaya,

I don't know why this property is not seen. You may see that this is ordinal string read-only property.

I will test my components in Delphi this days. If someone may confirm this bug, this will be great.

I have tested it, but I don't get an error.

On the attached screenshot:

1. HeaderPanel with HeaderStyle = Vista
2. NextGrid with HeaderStyle = Vista
3. NextGrid with headerStyle = Auto

I am running D2007 on Windows Vista - all works fine.

i wonder if on XP it works

my main problem here is the grid issue with version property

Try to recompile grid package again. Version property is simple string property and I don't know why it will cause a error

But, I will check it too.

i might check putting a new dbgrid on the form
but it means i will lose all i have now

Still is fine. Maybe you haven't uninstall old version used with BDS2006?

i didnt uninstall bcoz the bpl's are placed somewhere else
im using a new D2007

what about the header panel and vista style?
anything new with that?

Hello Emailaya,

Components are not yet officialy tested with D2007, but as I have receive feedback from other users, all is fine.

This issue with Version must be some package problem. There is no other reason. Do you have test new version with D2006 maybe?

i think i have found the problem
though the bpl were ok
the sources were set to a different location
now i deleted the old folder and only then
when my project compiled at all i realized that

but now, as i understood from wim
some of his addons are not updated in this release
so now my project does not compile bcoz of that
where can i get the latest version of his add ons?
