I hope you're doing well. I’m writing to ask about the current status and future plans for the NextGrid 5 package. Our code relies on a few of the controls in this suite, and we are now preparing to migrate our codebase to Delphi 13.

I understand that this particular component suite is considered legacy, and I don’t want to assume it will receive updates automatically. Could you please let us know whether you intend to release an updated version that is compatible with Delphi 13?

If there are no plans to update the component suite, it would be greatly appreciated if you could provide any guidance or recommendations you can provide on what would be required to manually migrate the package from Delphi 12 to Delphi 13. Tips, known issues, build considerations, or any notes about compiler or RTL changes that would help streamline the transition would be extremely helpful.

Thank you for your time, and for all the work you’ve put into maintaining this component over the years. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello,

Yes, Version 5 is a legacy version (written when I started my career) and it was very difficult to modify. Changing some line, could make other code not work and other code is usually visual and hard to automatically test.

This years people didn't requested version 5 for Delphi 13 so you are the first one. I can create the packages in a week (for some reason even making packages for it it 's harder).

I would also like do you want to join some of the extended supports plans that I can offer. It will really mean to me to support my development. And when a new Delphi is out, you can just tell me when you need new packages and I will do it immediately.

I still provide support to people that bought components 20 years ago (and it make me happy to see people still use them), but maybe I shoot myself in foot by some of my economic planning :)

I was just a young man then willing to make Delphi components better :)

I believe our company already makes an annual support contribution. When I set it up, I believe I selected the option for an automatic annual renewal.
I will verify that we are still paying it. My forum account isn't the same as the one I used to create the payment - since it has my IRL name in it.

Hi,

Unfortunately Share-it (https://www.hitpaw.c...bankruptcy.html) have bankrupted and this is probably why I don't receive it anymore. I have lost subscribers unfortunately, but some other bigger vendors have lost it even more.

If you want to continue, you can order from here and I will just update your database records.

Oh, ok I didn't realize it was no longer occurring.  I set it up again.

Hello,

Can you please send me the username or e-mail you used before? I was not able to find them in order to connect them.

Thank you.

I tried to send a Personal Message but it's not working. I only see...

"Sorry, you don't have permission for that!"

I tried it again this morning and it worked.

I went directly to PM by clicking the mail icon at top of the page and clicking "compose new" from the pop out.

If I try to do the same by going through the profile page, it doesn't work and I get the previously mentioned error.

I discovered why it doesn't work -- it signs me out. I had to sign in again to edit this post.
