Hello Saurman,
I am not sure that I understand this question completelly.
You may store SelectedRow property into some temporal variable and when you finish with update set SelectedRow := TempVar and use ScrollToRow(SelectedRow) to scroll to this row.

but this doesnt restore exact position. What i were scrolling down without selecting rows and suddenly a refresh occured, it will move me back to my last selection which is annoying. Any workaround?

Hello Saurman,
Maybe you can remember value of property FirstRow (indicate first visible row), and then after update (delete and add new rows?) scroll again to this row.

Boki, i cant make grid to show russian characters in header and cells. Any ideas?

Hello Saurman,
You should be able to type unicode characters inside property if you have Delphi 2005 or up.
If you have Delphi 6 or 7. You may do next:
Open NxGridReg.pas file and you will locate 2 lines which are used for multi-line headers editor. Comment this 2 lines and re-compile packages.
Now you will be able to type unicode characters.

they arent unicode, just another charset. The problem that they are not diplayed correctly in nextgrid while they work just fine in standart controls

I never use charsets very much since unicode is here for long time, and I am using Cyrillic letters without a problem with Unicode.
Can you please send me a one sample form with 2 TPanel's on it. Set on one Russian charset and send it to me. Thanks.

this maybe due to enlgish VISTA, but i have set russian unicode by default.

well Boki, i tryed following:
1) assign russian word in design time to grid header
2) assign russian word in run time to grid header and cell (using AsString)
3) assign russian word in run time to grid cell (using Widestring cell property)
4) manually settting locale to russian (SetThreadLocal($419) on form create)
Doesnt work for me

In design-time, you need to:

2) Set keyboard to desired with using Language Bar (or press Alt+Shift)
3) Type letters inside Header.Caption property.
In run-time, things are a little bit more complicated, because Delphi editor doesn't suppor unicode well, but you will be able to Assign value from other unicode control (like TNT Editors) into Cell, Header, Footer. You will be also able to Load data from unicode file.
I forgot to mention, that if you have Delphi 2006 (maybe even D2005), you may simply type inside editor:

just noticed there is a new version of grid. Does it have fixed an issues we discussed later as for threads for repainting grid and BeginUpdate/EndUpdate functions? Also, i cant find a detailed change log

few questions:
1) how is it going with that bug i had (repainting grid and BeginUpdate/EndUpdate functions)
2) how i can show memo field content in slides mode? (i see (MEMO), in TMS i can use ShowMemo=True)
3) is there free grid for D2007?

I have work on slide problems before 1 release and I hope that now things are better.
If you are thinking about NextDBGrid Db-Memo column there is a property for this MemoDisplayOptions.
Unfortunatelly, free version for Delphi 6 and 7 only exist.
