hi,
When you load the Package, right click on the package, then click on Options.... This will open the Project Option Dialog Box for that file. Click on Directories/Conditionals and check if the Output Directory is empty (it should be empty). There may be an output directory that the compiler is trying to write to when it's installing the package, and if this directory doesn't exist, the packages will not load and the result is this error which you have posted.
hope this helps,
Arthur

If you load the NxSheetRun.bpl file, right click on the file name..... then click on "options" you will open the Project Options Dialog Box for the NxSheetRun.bpl project. Now click on Directories/Conditionals. In the OutPut Directory you will see the following..... "..\..\Lib\Delphi 2006". By removing this from the OutPut Directory the NxSheetRun.bpl compiled and loaded into the IDE, and everything is now working fine. By the way, this output directory does not exist in any of the other BPL files. When I add this directory to any of the other BPL files and compile, Rad Studio 2007 refuses to load them into the IDE (at least on my computer using Vista)

The file NxSheet.pas exists..... as I had mentioned, I'm able to open the NxSheetRun project file and recompile it. The compile is a successful compile. I know this because I can delete all DCU files in the directory, and after the compile all new DCU files have been created. Because I'm able to recompile, I know that the compiler paths pointing to the NxSheet directory are set correctly. Also, by re-creating the new DCU files, I know that vista permissions allowing me to write files to the output directories are also set correctly. I'm puzzled as to why I can't load this package.
