... our killing application doesn´t work.

Did you think about going back to a previous - working -release of your app.? My apps. usually are not that essential, that it has to be done "in time". The critical ones are always backed up inside of a VM, last working release incl. enviroment for development, especially after changes i.e. D2005->D2006.

Without doubts it is annoying, if an update of components and/or ide lead to such needless effects. But maybe it is not only Boki, who has some gaps in his development chain. Keep in mind that any outbursts of fury will enclose the risk, that Boki may overlook something different, trying to bring a release asap. to you. He knows ( I am really shure he does), that it is a serious problem you have. But - he is a "one man show". I knew that from the beginning. Therefore the components are cheap. If I want security, I have to use other tools. Maybe more expensive ones, with big support behind. But this does not enshure anything. It am using quite expensive tools from big companies with less response and support than Boki tries to offer. Maybe this is the reason, why I am trying to stay calm.

More than one person described this problem weeks ago. But nothing happens! ---

Why didn´t you check the big problems first?

Can you bring a bugfix today?

Can you please try to recompile project I have send it to you and send them to me again. Maybe you can add few more controls on last page to I test it. I realy can find where is a problem.

There is also new Feature/Bug tracker in very near future and much more, but it seems that I will need more people.

to the problem: in the small application the bug is not reproduceable. Only in the big one. But the code doesn´t use anything, because I use a few other tools etc.

But here you have 3 attachements. The first (no 36) shows the tab "Finanzierungsvorschlag" after clicking the button on the tab before. This normaly contains a (Delphi-std) Grid filled before. The empty berg-grid ist liing over this with no content. What you see is a kind of shit from the graphics memory. Now I change the tab (pic no 37) and change back (pic no 38). Then there all is fine.

It is the same problem, like in the combo boxes

Can you please try to replace TNxHeaderPanel in DFM file to "normal" TPanel. Maybe this component create problems.

Yes I think this panel is casing some problems, I have struck this wih some of my own apps. I think it has to do with not handling the WM_ERASEBKGND message correctly. I will look into this for you today to see if I can find the issue.

It is not only the panel. On this tab I changed the panel and the result is the same. - It seems, that the TNxPageControl has the same problem.
I checked it and changed the main panel to TPanel - also the panel in TNxPageControl. The same result. Therefore: The bug must also be in the TNxPageControl.


If it helps: It is a TNxPageControl in a tab of TNxPageControl

Ok.



I think, that this is a problem anywhere in the handling of graphic memory.

The same problem ist in the TNxCombobox, too.

frmmain.tab_finanzierung.PageVisible := true;
frmMain.pc_Finanzierung.ActivePage := frmmain.tab_finanzierung;
frmMain.pc_Finanzierung.ActivePage.Repaint;

or

frmMain.pc_Finanzierung.Repaint;

Btw is it a delphi version specific bug? Then I use nested pagecontrols with dynamically created and destroyed pages without much problems in D7.

And putting it between BeginUpdate/EndUpdate or LockWindow() calls?

A really last resort & nasty one is:

LockWindow(Handle),
Hide Mainwindow,
Code....
Show It and
LockWindow(0).

Whish i could help you out.

Btw You problem still looks like a hanging endupdate to me. Do you use that anywhere in your app?
