what do u know
it seems that
HintWindowClass := TTntHintWindow;
made the problem
im still doing some tests but it seems to be the problem
fact is that u told me about it in 1 of the first replies here
so how can i get unicode hints if i remove this line?
btw removing this line completely causes an invalid typecast
each time a hint is about to be shown bcoz it tries to typecast into TTntHintWindow

Hello Emailaya,
I didn't know that you didn't try this. Please tell me next time, and we will save a lot of time. You will need now to disable line in NxSuite.inc .
I will now inspect why this happen, I think that TntHintWindow made some problems, but not sure. At least I will made my own HintWindow.
Best regards

i put a breakpoint after breakpoint until i discover what causes this
and the reason it didnt fail each time was bcoz not each time the hint was activated
actually it was activated only when i hover a cutoff data on the grid, if i didnt, the app exited successfully
so for now, there is no way of showing unicode hints without getting into problems?

I actually have been trying to get this to work for a while, and finally got it working today. If you use the TTntHintWindow for your HintWindow, you can get it to stop causing access violations by changing where FHintWindow.ReleaseHandle is used to FHintWindow.Free; FHintWindow.Nil;. You will also need to add RecreateHintWnd before you use FHintWindow anywhere.
