I try to install 4.0.5 release of next collection (Delphi 2007)

I have uninstalled the 4.0.0 release before, delete old files and old .bpl

I compile and install NxCommonRun package, without problem.

But, when I want to compile and install NxCommonDsgn package, I have a "DCC F2039 Cannot create output file NxCommonRun.bpl" error. Why Delphi try to recreate NxCommonRun.bpl file when I want to compile NxCommonDsgn ?

At this moment, I have reinstall my old 4.0.0 without problem

Hello Marc,

Most probably old version wasn't uninstalled completelly.

I suggest next steps:

First run uninstaller to delete files from hard disk.

Then do next steps:

1) Open Delphi 2007
2) Click on Componets -> Install Packages
- Remove all Berg Packages
3) Click Ok and close Delphi 2007

-

4) Go to folder C:\Document and Settings\<User>\My Documents\CodeGear Studio Projects\Bpl
5) Delete all Nx* files

-

Start setup for new version and install components again.

This 2 packages are quite simply packages, with only 1 file in NxCommonDsgn.

Same problem with 4.1.5



All is cleaned. All .bpl deleted in my \Bpl folder. I compile et install Nxcommondsgn.dpk.
When I want to compile Nxcommonrun.dpk, Delphi 2007 try to compile Nxcommondsgn... and recreate Nxcommondsgn.bpl that isn't possible because it was used by Delphi (component installed)

Help !!

Hello Marc,

Please check your e-mail in next 5-10 minutes. Maybe you may try to install Delphi 2006 packages, or try to manually create this 2 packages?

I have try to compile Delphi 2006 or sources in your zip file, and it dont't work.

All packages requires a recompilation of NxCommonRun that is locked by Delphi because installed before !

No problem with 4.0.0 release of Next suite. I think there is a problem of dependencies in the packages with Delphi 2007...

Is anybody successfully installed Next Suite 4.0.5 or 4.1.5 in Delphi 2007 ?

Are you running under XP or Vista with Delphi ?

Hello Marc,

It seems that definitelly some file from old version made a problem.

If you can try to install on other machine , or in virtual machine you will maybe see if work.

If you want, you may also manualy create packages with same files, but with other names, example: NxBasicRun and NxSmallSuite...

PS: This is a long shot, but if you're running Vista, make sure that some of the old files haven't been virtualized by Vista.

Check C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore to see a list of all files that have been virtualized (i.e. of which Vista has made duplicate copies because UAC won't let you write to the originals).

I'm on XP...

But i have today install Delphi on my Windows Vista Laptop and package installation is ok

I'll try to clean all my delphi and reinstall all components without changing DCP and BPL destination folder

Hello Marc,

Most probably there is a somewhere some file of NxCommonRun located and this block. I suggest that you simply search HD from this file and delete it.

Also, you may try to delete it from registry, just sarch for this string.

Usually it is not hard to fix it.

Successfully installed !!!! Youuuuuhoooouuu !!!!

I have deleted my "BPL" and "DCP" custom directory and clear it into Delphi folders options. And now, Next components have been successfully compiled with my other components.
