Hi,

I recently bought most of your Delphi components, and am very satisfied with the ones I've used so far. Great value for money!

Do you have any plans of converting your components to FireMonkey in future?
I'm still using an older Delphi version (2007) so I don't worry too much, but it would be nice to know.

FireMonkey seems to be the multi-platform GUI approach that Delphi will be using as of XE2:

I like the idea for having components running on MacOS. I hope that I will not have much problems to have my components compatible with MacOS deployment.

I'm afraid you probably will. Being tightly bound to the Win32 API (Windows Message Handlers, Handles, Canvases, GDI drawing commands, etc.) are probably going to make migration very difficult.

This won't be unique to your components though. I think that GUI component developers are going to be the ones with the most trouble porting to FireMonkey.

I'd like to see your components migrated to FM though.

I will know more as soon Delphi XE2 is released.

I am sure that it will be worth adding support for Fire Monkey. Support for plain Win32 in XE2 will most probably be easy, but for FireMonkey I will need to do some adjustments.

After yesterday's XE2 presentation, I'd love NextGrid to be ported to FMX. This new platform really is amazing. But I think that we all will need Boki to add x64 support first
